Absolutely amazing food, spectacular presentation and fantastic service! If there was 10 stars, this place would have it! Went one night and had the lobster bites appetizer followed by the lobster ravioli, big WOW. Loved it so much we went back the next night and had the chicken mole and it was also absolutely amazing! I cannot recommend this place enough.
At the end of the road, literally, in a tiny fishing village in Mexico ... floral scents of tropical zest around your head as you duck through bursts of flowers, enter this tiny, but amazing restaurant for one of the best dinners of the season! Each course served with the elegance of NYC, with flavor to rival the best. Inventive & delicious! With Lesley, we ordered TWO entrees each! Who could choose?

The atmosphere is beautiful. The people were very friendly and accomodating. A simple pasta dish was offered for our 6 year old. Our lobster dishes were delicious. They've converted me into a risotto fan. We will definitely be back!
We LOVE the Leaky Palapa! We have lived in Costa Maya for 5 years & have been to most all of the restaurants in the area & will say that although this place is quite a ways off of the beaten path, it is *always* Well Worth the Drive! The atmosphere embraces you immediately & you are always greeted with a warm welcome. The food is not only delicious in flavor, it is a treat for the eyes & nose as well & all in all, you leave with a sense of contentment, as if you had just been to the Day Spa! We go to this part of Mexico each year for a fly fishing adventure and really love it but I think we would make the trip just to dine at the Leaky Palapa. The food is wonderful and Linda and Marla are even better. Just like family! If you are ever any where near this portion of Mexico you must make the drive to have diner with Linda and Marla. You will never forget it.
Unbelievably superb. It boggles the mind that given the difficulties of transporting food to such a remote location Marla and Linda can create such ambrosia. But it sounds like deliveries are now available which must make it a bit easier.If you are fortunate enough to be able to visit, make sure you make a reservation - no joke.

Best restaurant in the Costa Maya region by far! An unparalleled dining experience. The food alone is exceptional but the whole personal service, provide by Linda, Marla and their team, makes you feel so comfortable and at home. Well worth the long drive to Xcalak just for this restaurant alone!

I've waited years to experience this place and it was well worth the wait ny fiance and I had a chance to visit the palapa twice on a recent trip to Xcalak. Let's just say this place lived up to the hype. Fresh local ingredients and extremely bold delicious flavors. I would highly recommend the ginger lobster bites. The single most impressive thing is Marla the chef is extremely talented and cognizant of good allergies. She came and spoke to my fiance in depth about her allergies and helped to create and amazing one of a kind dish special for her. The Leaky Palapa has to be one of my most favorite restaurants in the world.
