Opiniones Tacos El Gordo De Tijuana - Tijuana

Been here twice and will likely be back. Lines are sometimes long and parking can be a challenge. All of the tacos that I had were good. Keep in mind that these are street tacos, not the large ones you've maybe been used to in the past. You'll need a few to fill you up if you're industrial-strength hungry

Of course I'm willing to make a long drive for tacos, especially since I've heard so many great things about this place! After a lengthy drive, searching for parking, waiting in a long line, and looking for a place to sit, I had even higher expectations for these tacos. These were supposed to be life changing tacos. But, I've had much better. They weren't bad, but for all the hype they got, expectations were far above reality. Not something I'd go out of my way for, again.

Arriving here, my party had to circle the building three times before we decided we were going to park next door at the Carl's Jr. A man said our vehicle was going to get towed so while my party ordered food, I went and found a suitable parking spot as some customers left this place. Lots of customers means something is great. As I walked towards the entrance, I see a Caucasian man smiling in excitement, so I asked him if I should believe all the hype I was hearing and he said yes. So the taco meat is grilled over a fire right in front of you, to me this is a big plus. Place seemed clean so I was happy. So as this ROCK STAR sank his teeth in to the carne ASADA like a great White shark would do to some animal when it was hungry, I could feel the juices of the salsa mixed with the marinated meat going down my throat, so so good.. Thing was, a little too much guacamole! Place is extremely busy which means it is a sign that something here is being done right but yeah too much hype, don't get me wrong, real good, but I expected more.

Amazing franchise.. I am from canada and for some reason we are out of reach when it comes to authentic taquerias. we have alot of traditional ethnic restaraunts but very few ethnic mexican!! in my opinion i would call this place a true taqueria even though it is a franchise. but i cannot explain how hearty and mouthwatering all of the tacos here are. its definitley not something i can get my hands on from where i live especially the exotic types such as the taco adobada. Just the set up of the place and how they run things like their service but most of all their food is what leaves me in awe. Please open up somewhere in Canada!!

Wonderful. Simple and wonderful. You watch them shave the meet and make the tacos which are yummy and a great value.

Authentics mexican tacos, kinds pricy but well worth it. This place isn't any ordinary taco shop it's a must try
Jorge Martinez
You have to try the "mula al pastor", it's Over priced but it's worth it
Kevin Whitworth
Order the spicy pork tacos with the fixins'.

Best tacos around but too expensive and very small. Over $2.00 a taco is too much and for the average person 3 tacos won't satisfy.

You like Mexican food? Of course you do! What’s not to like about delicious tacos piled with meats and cheeses? Tacos El Gordo de Tijuana is one place that really does it right. This little taco shop is originally from Tijuana and they have ported themselves over the border to San Diego with three locations in town, plus one in Vegas. [ menu at tacos el gordo in chula vista ] As soon as you walk in, you can tell this place is just a little bit different from the other taco shops in town. The menu is well lit above you and there are stations. Each station specializes in a particular kind of meat. There’s a carne asada guy, an adobada guy and a guy who kind of serves up “everything else” (tripe, cabeza, legnua, etc.) You pick the kind of meat you want and order from that station. Jake and I always go to the adobada station for the spicy pork that’s turned on a spit. [ adoba
