Down town for Patty's amazing Margaritas and Jorge's quirky sense of humour. And in both places the friendly welcome from Hinde and Jaime. The people make the place! Years of great service, food and fun! Mi Lugar on the hill in Lapenita the other Hinde and Jaimes is just as great, but the view is second to none! Love this Family!!!!!

Delicious Margaritas, ice cold Dos Equis, good food at very reasonable prices, and always willing to change the TV channel for the some of us Canadians to watch curling when asked. Also Tuesday night "31" card games make it a fun and entertaining place to be in La Penita. Try it, you won't be disappointed!!

Best margaritas and tacos in town. Quaint hole in the wall with expats watching TV sipping margaritas and beer. Not an authentic Mexican experience, but loads of fun.

We met this family 17 years ago when there were very few tourists around. They have given us so many happy memories in 3 different locations. We closed the first one down many times, late at night, with the doors locked but continuing to sing and party with only a couple of us there. From watching their little girls grow into beautiful women, to our son's wedding, to many birthdays and anniversaries, we have spent alot of time with them. They are the best and some of our sweetest beginnings to this great Mexican Pueblo! Hugs to you all. The food and service is awesome! Our sons say, you haven't been to Mexico if you haven't had one or six of Hinde's famous fish or shrimp tacos! XO Bob & Linda-Casita de La Penita.

There are no strangers in this establishment. It is one of Mexoco's treasures and has been the reason that many people return to the area year after year. The food, the beverages, and the service are all worth the visit.

Well what can one say about a restaurant/bar that is also a gathering place for tourists that want to eat wonderful food, drink the best Margaritta's made by Patty winner of several Mexican Margaritta challenges. Let alone the never ending endorsement and support for Cancer de Mamma. Hinde Y Jaimes owners are also a huge support for us Canadians that need a bit of help at times navigating Mexico culture, medical issues, legal issues, rental issues, sightseeing, events. Patty always, always goes the extra mile to steer you in the right direction. The entire family are our Mexican family and we truly love them all. LaPenita is so lucky to have them as ambassadors for the area and Mexico.
